Abstract
Field-plot tests were carried out in Udaipur, India, in 1973 on the effectiveness of applications of granules containing endosulfan or quinalphos to the plant whorls and upper leaves at various rates and days after germination for the control of Chilo partellus (Swinh.) (zonellus (Swinh.)) on sorghum. As judged by the number of dead hearts and extent of larval tunnelling at harvest, there was no significant difference between the performances of the 2 insecticides. Two or 3 applications were significantly better than one. Both compounds were non-phytotoxic
