Abstract

An applicator with a rotating sample holder for determining moisture content o fgrains was developed. Drying curves for corn and grain sorghum using an incidence power of 850 watts at 2·45 GHz, show a decaying exponential-type characteristics. The time required to dry 32·5 g ofgrain from an initial moisture content of about 35% to about 1% of its initial moisture content is about 12 minutes for corn and 16 minutes forgrain sorghum
