Abstract

Following seed treatment of MS2698, from Bihar, and Sarada, from Andhra Pradesh, with N-methyl-N-nitrosoguanidine, short-duration mutants were obtained from Sarada and bold-grained mutants from M2698. Increased genetic variance for yield and six yield-related characters was noted in the M2 and M3
