Abstract
In trials in 1971-3 in Andhra Pradesh, jowar [sorghum], bajra [Pennisetum americanum], cowpeas and soyabeans in pure stands or sorghum or P. americanum in mixture with any legume gave average fresh fodder yields of 1.28-2.83 t/ha; yields were highest in sorghum and lowest in soyabeans. The CP contents were highest (23.4%) in soyabeans and lowest (9.9%) in P. americanum
