Abstract
The non-tillering sorghum cv. Short Kaura 5912 was sown at intervals of 1 week from 12 May to 21 July 1972. Each week's delay in sowing from 12 May decreased the vegetative phase by 4.7 days, delayed head initiation by 2.3 days, delayed heading by 1.8 days, decreased the head-development phase by 0.5 days and delayed the end of the grain-filling phase by 1.46 days
