Abstract

In trials in 1970-2 with sorghum in the rabi [winter] season under rain-fed conditions, application of 12.5 kg N/ha at sowing and 12.5 kg/ha in 2 foliar sprays gave average grain yields of 1.3 t/ha in the E. dry region of Dharwar district and 1.46 t/ha in Bijapur district, compared with respective yields of 1.24 and 1.29 t/ha with 25 kg N/ha applied at sowing
