Abstract

This is a review of the economically important diseases caused by Peronosclerospora sorghi, P. heteropogoni, P. philippinensis, P. sacchari, P. maydis and Sclerospora graminicola. Seed transmission, collateral hosts as sources of inoculum, effects of environment on the conidial and oospore phases, and some of the important information gaps are discussed
