Abstract
Pearl millet sown alone or with mung bean [Vigna radiata] as an intercrop with the onset of monsoon rains gave higher grain yields than when sown 14 or 28 days later. Under late-sown conditions, higher yields were obtained by transplanting the seedlings than with direct sowing. Crops sown in 30-cm wide paired or triple rows with an interspace of 70 and 90 cm, resp., gave similr yields
