Abstract

Fertilizers are the key factor in the strategy for increased Agricultural production. Adequate supply of fertilizers is to be made available to the plants at proper time in order to obtain maximum returns. Requirements of plants for different plant nutrients vary in relation to their stage of groaili. Nitrogen is absorbed by the plants throughout the growth period. Since Nitrogenous fertilizers are lost through leaching, they are applied in split doses while phosphatic fertilizers are applied in one basal dose
