Abstract

In trials with wheat, potatoes, sorghum, red gram [Cajanus cajan], cotton, groundnuts and rice, the total DM produced by each crop was inversely related to the N concentration in the DM (r = -0.942). The N absorption/unit area by most crops was about 356 kg/ha
