Abstract
Determinations of Relative Growth Ratee (RCR) and growth period of Sorhhum bicolor L. were done with seven field-grown cultivars: NK300, Mleloland, C-42Y, 69-4, G393, CE-90 and X4027. The RCR values were calculated for two 2-week and three 3-week periods approximately. They indicated that all the plant meterisl experienced important decreases in growth rate at the third and the fourth periods. At the fifth, however, there was a tillering-related rise in the RGR of the cultivars, CE-90 and Meloland excepted. A11 this is reflected on the size of the slopes of the regression equations relating the log of dry weights with time from sowing
