Abstract
In field trials in 1971 at 5 sites, grain sorghum cv. AKS 614 was given 30, 60, 90 or 120 lb N/ac as ammonium nitrate on plots that also received 140-160 lb P2O5 and K2O/ac. On soils that had not been depleted in N the previous year, little further response to rates above 20 lb N/ac was obtained; on N-depleted soils there were responses to rates up to 90 lb N/ac. Terminal yields on the different sites varied from 58 to 125 bu/ac.
