Abstract

During studies in India on the seasonal incidence of Atherigona soccata Rond. on sorghum sown at weekly or fortnightly intervals throughout the year, small flies afterwards identified as Mepachymerus sp. emerged from 55% of the infested plants. Species of this genus have previously been reared from sorghum in Nigeria but not in India
