Abstract
A successful plant breeding programme, required the evaluation of the magnitude and nature of genetic diversity of yield and its attributes. Since the yeidl attributes are polygenic in nature, the partitioning of total variability into genetic and phenotypic variability is very essential for further estimation of genetic parameters.
