Abstract

The results show that corolla colour is controlled by two genes, Sco and Bco, to give the F2 segrega- tion ratio 9 pink: 3 blue: 3 salmon pink: 1 white. Testa colour and the nature of the seed surface are controlled by the single genes Brt and Rs respectively, with brown dominant to yellow and rough dominant to smooth. All four genes act independently of each other.
