Abstract

The effectiveness of 6% seed dressing of seven insecticides in protecting sorghum (of the variety CSH 1) from attack by Atherigona soccata Rond. (varia soccata) was evaluated in field tests in Tamil Nadu, India, during 1971-72. As judged by the percentage of dead hearts, carbofuran gave the best protection and had little adverse effect on germination
