Abstract

In trials at 7 sites in Coimbatore district, sorghum cv. CO 18 and hybrid CSH 1 were given 0-120 kg N, 0-60 kg P and 0-60 kg K/ha, alone or in various combinations. The average grain yield of CSH 1 was 55% greater than that of CO 18, but CO 18 gave 28% more stover. CHS 1 responded better to higher levels of N fertilizer than CO 18; NP treatments gave higher yields of both cultivars than N and P treatments separately. AGGH.
