Abstract
The density of populations of Schizaphis graminum (Rond.) in plots in a field of sorghum in Texas during 1971-72 was regulated by means of insecticide treatments so as to determine economic injury levels on this crop. As determined by data from tests designed specifically to calculate aphid numbers and plant-damage levels causing significant losses and from previous work, an average of about 1300-1500 aphids/plant at about the bloom stage of growth and an average leaf mortality of more than 3/plant resulted in economic loss
