Abstract

Preseason irrigation for grain sorghum IS a common practice on about 3 milllion acres of irrigated land in the Southern High Plains, irritation water is pumped from the Ogallaa formation, a large regional ground water aquifler. Because water is limiting in relatlon to irrigated land, wells are pumped during most of the year. Preseason Irrigation is largely interspersed..........................
