Abstract

The performance of rainfed sorghum at Samaru in a dry sub-humid region of N. Nigeria was analysed in terms of adaptability to climate with particular reference to water availability for annual crop production. Water availability was related to the water requirement of sorghum during the whole period of growth and development. Crop phenology of local and exotic sorghum cv. is discussed.
