Abstract

Fungi were isolated from roots of sorghum seedling, and tested for pathogencity. The isolations included species of Aspergillus, Alternaria, Fusarium, Fusidium, Humicola, Mucor, Penicillium, Rhizoctonia, Trichoderma, Verticillium and some unidentified fungi. Isolates varied from non-pathogenic to highly pathogenic in pathogenicity tests on sorghum seedlings in fruit jars at 21oC and 27oC using vermiculite, but in grernhouse tests isolats did not exhibit pathogenicity
