Abstract

In trials in 1969, sorghum cv. Texas 626 was given all combinations of 0, 1 or 3 cwt ammonium sulphate 0, 1 or 2 cwt superphosphate and 0, 0.5 or 2 cwt K2SO4/ac and was sown at rates of 2.3, 3.5, 7 or 14 lb seed/ac. Grain yields were increased from 1237 lb with no N to 3046 lb/ac with 3 cwt ammonium sulphate (71 lb N) and from 2341 lb at the lowest to 3092 lb at the highest sowing rate. P or K did not increase grain yields
