Abstract

The male-sterile dwarf sorghum lines 1616A, 1601A, MV101A, 398A, 1617A and 378A were used as female parents in crosses with the Sudan grass 9581. The resulting F1S and the standard sorghum variety Js263 were compared. The sorghum X Sudan grass hybrids gave significantly higher yields of green forage than Js263. The tallest hybrids gave the highest green forage yields
