Abstract

Sorghum cv. CSH-1 in 1968-69 and cv. Swarna in 1969-70 were treated with Afalon (linuron) and simazine at 1 kg a.i./ha pre-em. and 2,4-D sodium at 1.68 kg a.i./ha pre-em. in 1968 and pre-sowing in 1969. Hoeing and earthing with and without herbicides were also done. Combination of herbicides and cultural practices gave best weed control and yield. 2,4-D affected germination adversely
