Abstract

Sod-seeded sorghum and millet could be successfully harvested on soft peat and mulch soils in the Everglades area under wet conditions in which the mechanical harvesting of conventionally sown sorghum would have been impossible. In sowing and spacing trials the highest fodder yield was 20.3 tons/ac from 48 lb seed/ac in 8-in rows
