Abstract

A bulked F3 population from the cross, TX7078 X Sea Green, was compared with its parental lines and with the hybrid Hazera 610. The F3 gave higher grain yields and showed a lower incidence of Spodoptera frugiperda in the dry season than its parents. Yield was not related to the degree of infestation by insects.
