Abstract
No response to selection was found in the F3 of the crosses TX7078 X Africana blanca [White African], TX7078 X Kaura, TX7078 X Farafara and TX7078 X Sea Green. A decrease in vigour was found both in yield and associated characters and in vegetative traits compared with the F2. The results observed are attributed to inbreeding depression.
