Abstract

The hybrid from CK7078 (emasculated) X Sea Green was subjected to pedigree selection for yield. The F3 proved superior to both parental lines in height, diameter of the stem and leaf area but was inferior to the parental mean in yield per ha and panicles per plot. There was a positive correlation between yield per ha and number of panicles per plant
