Abstract
Field trials with maize, rice, millet and sorghum on different associations of alluvial and residual soils involved applications of 0-120 kg N, 0-60 kg P2O5 and 0-60 kg K2O/ha in various combinations. Response to fertilizing showed a direct relationship to the soil development: highly leached and mature soil associations gave the highest response, especially to N, whereas responses to P and K were variable.[31:22:143.17].
