Abstract
Derived from the cross A3197 X TAM422, Texas 610SR is resistant to Sphacelotheca reiliana and is similar to Texas 610 for grain yield, bushel weight and maturation period but has shorter straw. Q5161, from the cross AKS4 X KS19, is lodging resistant and flowers 2-3 days later than Texas 610. It is higher yielding and earlier flowering than Alpha, and produces grain of high bushel weight
