Abstract
ALTHOUGH the occurrence of wilt in pigeon pea caused by Fusarium udum Butler has been reported in India by Butler as early as 1910, no serious attempt seems to have been made to study the early phases of infection during which the pathogen establishes itscef in the host and subsequently produces the various symptoms. Results of such a study are presented in this paper
