Abstract
Diploid and tetraploid parental combinations generally result in triploid hybrids, but higher percentages of tetraploids were reported by Endrizzi (19lS7) and McClure (1965) in hybrids of cultivated diploid sor· ghum and tetraploid Sorghum almum. Vardi and Zohary (1967) noted this phenomenon in hybrids of wheat and indicated it as diploid introgreslion into tetraploids.
