Abstract

The 3-year av. grain yields of wheat grown with 0-120 kg N/ha after fallow or bajra [Pennisetum americanum] were 3.9-4.9 and 1.41-4.01 t/ha, resp.; yields increased with increasing N rates. The N content in soil after fallow was higher than after P. americanum up to 40 days of wheat growth and thereafter it was higher after P. americanum
