Abstract

The varieties M35-1, NJ164 and Vidul were irradiated with gamma rays. Meiosis in the M1 progenies was abnormal, univalents, trivalents, laggards and bridges being noted. Meiosis in the M2 was normal. The percentage of abnormal pollen grains was higher in the M1 than in the M2 generation.
