Abstract

The bundle sheath chloroplasts of Sorghum bicolor lose their grana during ontogeny. Their ability to reduce the Hill reagent tetranitro blue tetrazolium chloride is also lost. Grana appear necessary for non-cyclic photosynthetic electron flow.
