Abstract

Environmental, phenotypic and genotypic correlations and heritability estimates were determined for seven morphological and yield characters in 20 varieties. Grain yield was genotypically correlated with plant height, grain weight of main ear and 1000-grain weight, and phenotypically correlated with number of days to 50% maturity. Heritability was low for grain yield but high for days to 50% maturity and number of basal tillers
