Abstract

In a trial in bajra, atrazine at 0.25, 0.375 and 0.5 kg/ha pre-sowing or pre-em. and 2,4-D 1 kg post-em. were each applied alone or in combination with one hand hoeing and weeding. Pre-em. application was superior to pre-sowing or post-em. treatments, atrazine at 0.375 kg pre-em. particularly effective and economical. Where plots received one hand hoeing and weeding there was no difference between the treatments in terms of grain yields
