Abstract
Bajra [Pennisetum glaucum] seeds were germinated between filter papers soaked with 8 ml solution of 2,4-D sodium (80% a.e.), 2,4,5-T ester (40% a.e.) and MCPA amine (40% a.e.) at concns. of 0, 1, 10, 100 and 1000 ppm. in Petri dishes. Plumules were longest following exposure to 10 ppm. of 2,4-D or 1 ppm. MCPA. Radicle length decreased linearly with increase in concentration. Root hairs did not develop on exposure to >100 ppm. 2,4-D or MCPA and 100 ppm. 2,4,5-T
