Abstract

In a pot trial at 2 locations in Puerto Rico, 1 in Guadeloupe and 1 in Florida, sorghum cv. BR 54 was sown in Coto clay at various dates about the spring equinox so that the same number of h of sunlight were received in each crop cycle. Water use was related to solar radiation intensity and open pan evaporation. DM yield was related to water use and leaf area. Shoot DM yield varied with site
