Abstract

At the boot stage ten pearl millet, pennisetum typhoides, Burn, heads were covered so that inflorescences emerged in the bag to isolate stigmas from foreign pollen and ergot inoculum. At the protogynous stage Claviseps fusiformis conidial suspension was sprayed on the freshly emerged stigmas.....
