Abstract

Pearl millet hybrid HB3 given 60 kg N/ha in 1-4 split applications gave the highest average yields in 1971-2 of 1.8-1.94 t grain and 3.2-3.64 t dry fodder/ha with N applied 25-50% at sowing and 75-50% at early tillering or 50% at sowing, 25% at early tillering and 25% at the flag-leaf stage
