Abstract

Stubble from fields of rice, sorghum, maize, sesame, cowpea, lucerne and finger, foxtail, sawa and broom-corn millets grown at Coimbatore was collected, washed, sun-dried and analysed for total N, P, K and OM content. Finger-millet [Eleusine coracana] stubble added more N (43 kg/ha) and P (3.7 kg/ha) than other crops. Rice added more K (25 kg/ha) and OM (1764 kg/ha) than other crops
