Abstract

In field trials in 1971-3 lime was applied at 0, 2.5 or 5 t/ha, 2 months before sowing of ragi (Eleusine coracana). The residual effect of lime on groundnut was examined in the 1972-3 kharif season. Ragi showed no response to lime, whereas groundnut yields were increased 187 and 147% by 2.5 and 5 t lime/ha, respectively
