Abstract

In trials with bajra grown without irrigation, increases in rate of applied N from 0 to 120 kg/ha were accompanied by linear increases in grain yields from 0.51 to 2.15 t/ha. The economic N rate was 80 kg/ha which gave a yield of 1.86 t/ha. There was no significant difference between the 4 methods of application: broadcasting, placement below the seed or to the side of the row, or split application
