Abstract
Data from crosses between a plant with a weak leaf midrib, derived from 72M1161, used as female parent with Texioca 63, Martin and 68M6208, and used as male parent with Combine Kafir 60, revealed that the weak-midrib trait is controlled by a recessive allele, designated mw2, while the normal midrib is controlled by the dominant allele, Mw2
