Abstract

World population is growing so rapidly that by the year 2000, it will be doubled. Feeding ever multiplying number of mouths is a stupendous task. All the same, ways and means have to be found to meet this great challenge within a very short period. The problem could be best solved only through modernising our agriculture. Among other things, it calls for efficient use of fertilizers. It has a vital role in our drive for maximizing production.
