Abstract
Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is affected by early leaf spot (Cercospora arachidicola Hori), late leaf spot (Phaeoisariopsis personata (Berk. And Curtis) V. Arx) and rust (Puccinia arachidis Speg.) all over the world including India (4, 5, 13, 6). Various studies report 50% or more yield loss due to these foliar diseases (11, 2, 7). Perusal of literature indicated that the combined application fungicides and host resistance is quite effective in the management of foliar diseases (3) and several fungicides have been identified and evaluated to control these diseases at different places (1, 14, 6). However in Tripura, no attempt has been made to understand the efficacy of fungicides, although, groundnut is becoming....
