Abstract
In Non-leguminous forages, the protein content, in general, is less than the required threshold value (7 per cent) for its efficient utilization to incresse animal production (Paroda, 1977). Therefore, in breeding of these crops for fodder, it is desirable to give due emphasis for high protein content. In the present study, an attmpt was made to understand the inheritance of protein content of fodder in poarlmillet for formulating suitable breeding programmes
