Abstract

The differences in physiological attributes of 4 Eleusine coracana cv. were investigated. Cv. VZM-1 and Annapurna were photosynthetically superior to cv. Aruna and PR-202 in terms of DM production. Aruna showed a good potentiality for greater photosynthesis in the earhead. VZM-1, Annapurna, PR-202 and Aruna gave grain yields of 2.49, 2.25, 1.58 and 1.34 t/ha, resp. The high harvest index of Aruna indicated that, although its DM production was low, it had a superior translocation system which is lacking in Annapurna and PR-202
