Abstract
In pot trials with P. typhoides [= P. americanum] grown in seashore sand and irrigated with diluted sea water of 20 000 p.p.m. or tap water, application of vermiculite, FYM and especially both increased m.c. in the substrate and plant growth, but also increased accumulation of Na in roots, K in stems and Ca, Mg and Cl in other plant organs when irrigated with sea water
